Boracay Island Life - April and May Events

Ola again from the isla!

You might have been wondering what's going on in Boracay as you haven't seen any updates here. Summer is indeed a busy season in Boracay: a lot of events have happened which made me realize that my life is not just all about the online world (well, sometimes I need to check Facebook once in awhile to know who's in the island from my circle of trusts). We all need to go out, meet people and enjoy the outdoor activities. Any way, here's to share the highlights of my April and May events:

Hanging out with these girls somewhat made me love the outdoors more. Another advantage of being with them is I get to learn a li'l bit of their language. The first word that I learned - SAMOK.

I'm actually thinking of studying a new sport which led me to this kite surfing shop:

Pinas Kite Surfing Center is offering kite boarding lessons at a very reasonable rate so if interested, you may contact them here. I'm torn between kite surfing and diving, really.

Since April, there were a couple of lifestyle booths in front of Epic (Station 2).

I acquired a lot of freebies from the lifestyle booth. Some of the participating brands of Lifestyle Channel's Summer Soul Event are Unilever, Nestle, Alveo, etc.

The heat is on for the annual Nestea Beach Volleyball competiton on it's 16th year!

After almost 1 week of side by side volleyball competition, they ended the event with a victory party at Club Paraw.

Jay Sean was there! Summer party in Boracay was really awesome as the crowd were amazing. How I managed to get in and be at the front row of this exclusive event is another story (haha!). Likewise, thanks to the person who invited me over. ;p

Just right after a small project I completed for one of the hotels here in Boracay, I was walking down the shores and these girls came over and gave me a power drink. So sweet of them! Perhaps I look too tired they noticed my need to power up under the heat of the sun.  I even got a couple of freebies. Thank you RedBull Philippines!

Back to back battle of the paddles for the 7th Boracay Dragon Boat Festival. One of my colleagues joined the competition.

And course, summer will never be complete without familiar faces - my dear friends!

Life is indeed better in Boracay!
