It started with a message that simply said:
Wanna come with me to Gili?
No big build-up. No itinerary. Just that. And I said yes—without thinking twice.
A few days later, I found myself on a fast boat cutting through the waves toward Gili Trawangan, not quite sure what was waiting for me on the other side. What I got was more than just turquoise waters and sandy streets—I got a little island dream I didn’t know I needed.
This is just a preview of what my time looked like: soft-lit sunsets that felt unreal, bicycles instead of cars, salt in the air and freckles on my face, and mornings that smelled like coconut sunscreen and good coffee. I probably have a month’s worth of photos, but somehow it’s the in-between moments—quiet rides, shared bites, secret laughs—that I’ll keep tucked in the corners of my heart.
Gili T. isn’t just a destination—it’s a feeling. One that wraps you up slow and easy, like the way the sun dips behind the sea every evening. You don’t even realize it’s gotten under your skin until you’re already thinking about when to come back.
For now, here are a few stills that don’t even begin to capture it all—but I’ll try.
