Summer Staycation Series - Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort

view from Danat Jebel Dana
Who would've thought that we have this kind of view in the UAE?
Guess who's back online? Yes, it's me! And it's been a while since I have uploaded something interesting here. If you've been following my updates on IG, you will know how much of a busy bee I am on weekdays. I am still exploring a lot of things in aviation (yes, I've shifted industries but doing the same function) and I guess I will enjoy it here.

I will try to cut the chase because I do know you're drooling over these beach photos in this 30+ degrees heat. Tell you what, you can find this UHMAZING sight only 5hours from Dubai.

The name of the hotel is Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort and this is located at the farthest end of Abu Dhabi (Ruwais). The 5hour drive from Dubai is all so worth it because unlike our bustling city, it's an off-the-beaten-path in the UAE where you can simply chill and enjoy the beach like royals - at a very reasonable rate! We visited in February and the water was still chilly, I think now is the best time to go to fully enjoy it.

Stay at their Beachfront Chalet

They have already opened their beachfront chalets and luckily, we were one of the few people who got to experience it first. Let me show you how my room looks like when I stayed over:

A balcony overlooking the Arabian Gulf, check. A room with a king-sized bed complete with hotel facilities like no other, check. But why, they are a 5-star hotel!

Food At Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort

If you've been following my Instagram stories way back February, you will notice that I've been posting photos of the things on my plate. This is because I have always been a fan of good food!

From this press trip, what I personally like the most is their wide selection of food (from breakfast to dinner), especially during the weekend where you get to enjoy their famed BBQ Friday Brunch. Watch out for the giant grilled prawns, they are sooooo fresh I tell you! Breakfast and lunch was served at Tides Restaurant and our very posh dinner was hosted at Zaitoun.

We had our own agenda but if you are also looking at grabbing a few drinks and dancing the night away, L'attitude pub/bar is open until late for parties.

Things to do at Danat Jebel Dhanna

There are so many things you can actually do at the hotel aside from lounging at the beach, sleeping all day and eating.

You can move to their temperature controlled swimming pool if salt water is not for you, take as many photos of the 50 shades of blue overlooking the Arabian Gulf, do water sports activities like kayaking or water bike, take advantage of the low tide and go down the farthest breakwater part of the beach, or simple enjoy family friendly activities that you are your kids will enjoy.

It's great idea to spend the weekend here most especially during summer - rates are more favorable for GCC residents. Take a break from the city life and explore this side of the UAE, I promise you won't regret it!
