Swim, Luxe, and the Style Icons - i love koi's Swimwear Fashion Show

I've blogged about Summer Pretty Preps and Must Haves last month and it was only then I appreciated and literally fell in love with the different swimwear collections I found online. The best of the swim suits are here in the Philippines, oh my!

One of the local online stores that I've been secretly spying on for swimwear collection is i love koi. They have a variety of designs and styles for different body types, something that other online stores don't have .

i love koi is also the pioneer maker of high waist  bottom in the Philippines which was inspired by vintage swim wear tweaked with a modern twist. Their shades of blue, orange and pink are my favorite.

Until I saw this ad on their Facebook Page, no way! A Style Icon Line featuring inspirations and designs from 3 of the famous style bloggers here in the Philippines: The Plump Pinay, Tricia Gosingtian, and Patricia Prieto  . This is really a must see!

Luckily, I received an email invitation from  i love koi. Geez, this is something that I can use once again for work and blogging! And of course, the ever supportive kuya was there too, gathering marketing info and meeting lots of people. We're such a team.

Here are some of the event photos, "some" by which I mean I wasn't able to come inside the venue with the baby CanCan. I guess I'm gonna have to request for a Press ID really soon. Still, thanks to kuya for bringing an extra digicam.

Zalora Philippines is one of the sponsors of the fashion show.

(Taken right after the show ended)

The event venue was held at the Privé Luxury Club, a high end club located at The Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City.

Full house party indeed, the venue was filled with lots of people giving full support for  i love koi

They also awarded girls with the best Summer Glam attire for the night.

A few runway photos taken by kuya from the The Plump Pinay's Style Icon Line. After that, the battery died. OH NOES.

And I also stood there to have my photo taken. Such a fan girl. Thanks kuya for the shot!

Among those swim wears presented on the runway, my favorite was Tricia Gosingtian 's pink one piece suit:

When worn, it brings out the best in every petite girl's body. The halter string emphasize shoulders and somehow, I see this swim wear as cute and semi-conservative. And baby pink is love with the little dots on it, who wouldn't love pink?

My other favorite was the Palm Beach Bandeau. I liked it very much because it was worn nicely by the model.

  5. I get it why it's "Plump Pinay" style. Runway models should be plump, not like hangers.

  13. My perception of models is the typical, skinny and steamy ones.

It's good to know that there's full bodied ones out there.
