OPA Dubai’s Summer Brunch Is Back—and It’s Got Greece Written All Over It

Returning here in the Philippines made me miss Dubai brunches a little extra—there’s just something about that perfect mix of sunshine, sass, and shameless indulgence. And right on cue, OPA Dubai is bringing back its legendary Summer Brunch Series, kicking off with a bang on Saturday, May 24th. If you’ve ever wanted to brunch like a Greek god/goddess (with a side of plate-smashing and a whole lot of opa!), this is your moment.

Taking place once a month, every month this summer, OPA’s seasonal brunch is titled A Journey Through Hidden Gems of Greece. It’s basically your ticket to the Aegean—minus the airfare. Each edition transports you to a different Greek destination, complete with storytelling, festive traditions, and next-level food that tastes like it was made by someone’s yiayia.

We're talking mezze spreads you’ll want to hoard, juicy grilled kontosouvli, and a lobster orzo that deserves its own passport. Oh, and don’t even get us started on the Baklava Sundae. Yes, that’s a thing—and yes, it’s just as outrageous as it sounds.

And because it wouldn’t be OPA without a little drama (the fun kind), expect live Zorba dancing, music that makes you want to throw your napkin in the air, and the iconic plate smashing we’ve come to love. It’s loud, it’s lively, and it’s a whole vibe.

The juicy details:

A little backstory on OPA (because we love a good origin story)...

Born from a family kitchen on a small Greek island, OPA was the dream of Thassos—a man who knew his way around a grill and a good time. Fast forward to Dubai, where his son Alexandros decided the city needed more feta, flair, and full-on Greek energy. Thus, OPA Dubai was born. Since then, they’ve brought their signature sparkle to Saint-Tropez, Mumbai, Bahrain, Doha, and even a cheeky pop-up in Riyadh.

OPA is more than just a meal—it’s a full-blown cultural experience. And trust me, once you’ve been, you’ll never look at brunch the same way again!
